Head of IT, Fintech / Challenger Bank, City of London, £70k-80k per annum
Our client is a disruptive ‘challenger’ within the consumer and small business banking market and now has an immediate requirement for an experienced Head of IT to join the London head office with a very clear agenda to mature the IT function as the business enters the next stage of business growth within the UK, and expansion into Europe.
The Head of IT will work in tandem with the business to transform operations, processes and the way IT impacts on the business, with an underlying emphasis on promoting the digitisation and AI agenda where possible. The Head of IT should be well-versed in explaining and 'selling' IT concepts to gain buy in across the boardroom table.
As Head of IT, you will be critical to the success of the business, working with the CEO and Board, with an expectation of being able to solve business problems and respond to market opportunities by using cutting edge technology.
An example of this is how AI and Machine Learning can be applied to ’speed up’ customer on boarding / KYC and AML processes, without compromising on security of regulatory compliance. In this regard technology can give a real competitive advantage over the older 'established' banks with their dated technology, slow processes and branch closures!
The Head of IT will lead the IT department, quickly solving business problems, contributing to the delivery of slick customer experiences and introducing ‘game changing’ new technology to support the business as it expands beyond the UK and into European markets.
We seek to recruit a very proactive Head of IT, able to work within an entrepreneurial environment, respond to fast-paced demands and be able to act as the catalyst for innovation, both from an IT and business viewpoint.
